Andrew Bevis started performing when he was a young schoolboy in Sydney Australia. He has always been interested in theatre, music, film, and television. Upon leaving school he was offered a traineeship with Musical Director Guy Simpson, in Sir Andrew Llyod Webber's The Phantom Of The Opera. He spent a year there playing the keyboard. But Andrew was not content with a life in the orchestra pit. Back in Australia Andrew performed in, played for and produced numerous school and community productions. Highlights include, The Sound Of Music, A Christmas Carol, West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Black Set, Evita, Camelot and The Music Man. Andrew has his professional stage debut in 'Hello Dolly!' in Aussie in 1994, starring alongside Warren Mitchel. Since moving to England, Andrew has performed in major West End productions and touring productions. Theatre Credits include : Montpanasse and Marius in Les Miserables at the Palace Theatre London and on tour to Singapore, Cape Town, Hong Kong, and Korea. Tremont / Angel Gabriel in Jerry Springer - The Opera at the National Theatre, London (2002) and the Edinburgh Festival. Most recently Andrew starred in Romeo and Juliet the musical as Romeo opposite the beautiful and hugely talented Lorna Want. Also in the show was Cruise star Jane McDonald playing the role of The Nurse. Andrew has now returned to Jerry Springer -The Opera as Tremont and is performing in front of packed out audiences every night at the Cambridge Theatre, London. |
